Visit Waterfalls in Tasmania for a truly inspirational feeling of natural beauty in our cool climate forests.With mountainous terrain and numerous fast flowing rivers, Tasmania hosts many beautiful water cascades in all parts of this remote island state.

1 – Russell Falls

Approximately 1 hours drive north west of Hobart lies Russell Falls – within the boundaries of Mount Field National Park. These delightful multi-levelled falls cascade down amongst Tasmania’s pristine cold climate rainforest. From the car parking area there is a very inviting, flat, easy walking track to the waterfall.

2 – Horseshoe Falls

Horseshoe Falls is just a short walk from Russell Falls in the Mount Field National Park. After admiring Russell Falls walk up the short track to the picturesque horseshoe shaped waterfall.

3 – Liffey Falls

Around 70 minutes drive west of Launceston, via Deloraine, is the free flowing Liffey Falls. There are 2 separate sections to these waterfalls which are accessible by follow the track downstream.

4 – St Columba Falls

Known as Tasmania’s highest waterfall the St Columba Falls are around 30 minutes drive west of St Helens. These mighty falls normally put on a spectacular showing all year round.

5 – Nelson Falls

A pleasant stop off point on the drive from Hobart to Strahan is Nelson Falls. This unusual cascade gently flows down the moss covered rock edge on the Franklin River around 2.5 hours from Hobart and 1.5 hours from Strahan.
